Gateway Campus Abuzz as National Hackathon Welcomes Innovators from Across India

Sonipat, April 22: With anticipation running high and innovation in the air, the Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET), Sonipat, witnessed a vibrant start to its much-awaited National-Level Hackathon as participants from across India began arriving today. Out of the 100 shortlisted teams, 30 have already reached the Gateway Education Campus, ready to compete, collaborate, and create.

Students from renowned institutions, including Rai University, Gujarat, and SR University, Telangana, were among the first to touch down, setting the pace for what promises to be a high-energy, solutions-driven event. Over the next few days, the campus will serve as a melting pot of bright ideas, with young minds working on real-world challenges under intense time constraints.

The event officially kicks off tomorrow and has drawn the attention of leaders from both academia and industry. The inaugural ceremony will be graced by Mr. Piyush Prashad, Chief Guest and a leading figure in innovation and education at the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), IIT Delhi. His expertise in education research and training is expected to inspire the young participants and enrich the dialogue around tech-driven solutions.

Also joining the opening as Guests of Honor are Prof. Abhayjeet Singh, Co-Founder and Chief Academic Officer at ImaginXP, Dr. Nidhi Mathur, Director of Academics at ImaginXP–CollegeDekho, and Dr. Sugandhi Malhotra, Tech Program Director at ImaginXP–CollegeDekho. Their presence highlights the event’s vision of bridging academic rigor with practical, industry-led learning.

Reflecting on the scale and ambition of the event, Dr. Colonel A.K. Garg, Director of Gateway Education, shared his excitement. “Our goal is to ignite innovation and instill confidence in the next generation of changemakers. This hackathon is more than just coding—it’s about creating real impact and solving real problems.”
